
Bradenham Blast

Welcome to the Bradenham Blast, a top-rated trail running event with a 5km, 10km & Half Marathon (new for 2025) option for runners of all abilities. Known as one of the ‘toughest and friendliest trail races’ and certainly one of the more scenic, run through tranquil beech woodland, along rugged trails with outstanding views of the Chiltern countryside. Hosted in the UK’s only arable nature reserve with an abundance of stunning wild flowers, prepare for epic hills, great views and a fun race.

5km Race: Participants must be over 12 years on the day of the race.
10km Race: Participants must be over 16 years on the day of the race.
These ages as stated by UKA rules of competition.

We recommend 'you take out cancellation insurance to protect your entry.
We reserve the right to cancel any event for weather or other factors outside our control. In such circumstances, your entry will be moved to a rescheduled event.

It is hilly! But suitable for both beginners and competitive runners. Lots of people will walk the hills and as we have no cut-off times, you can take your time.

The closest train station is Saunderton which is a 25 minute walk from the venue. There are more frequent trains too High Wycombe and Princes Risborough. Connected by bus or taxi.

Dogs are welcome at the event but must be kept under control. Sadly we we will not run a Canicross option in 2024.

Routes
21.1km Route
A fast start blasting across Bradenham Village before a lung-busting climb up onto Naphill Common. A lovely section of open woodland follows before a fast and firm trail back into the village. The routes then re-join the 10km route with a final couple of hills to finish before dropping back down to the finish line. Not getting a PB is guaranteed.
10km Route
A very pretty and scenic route around the Bradenham Estate. With 4 climbs and a sweeping final 3km which is all downhill. This is set to be a corker with stunning views, tranquil trails through beech woodland and along massive field margins. There is one aid station approximately at 4.9km in.
5km Route
The 5km route winds up the hill before a steep plunge into quiet woodlands. A final climb awaits before traversing therough the top of the woods and a final 1.5km descent down a track to the finish.
Routes are subject to change and might run a little short or long.
