Boondock Events was established in 2022 and organises challenge hikes, trail running races and bespoke outdoor events in the UK. Our mission to get more people outside, active and enjoying nature. All our events and experiences are designed with the following four things in mind:

  1. Challenge yourself on the trail in some of the UK’s most scenic locations.

  2. Connect with other people and the environment around you.

  3. Explore the great outdoors.

  4. Protect and make the world around us a better place.

In our first year we were joined by over a thousand people on various hikes, races and challenges across the breadth of the UK. We have worked with charities, companies and individuals to deliver excellent outdoor events. We are proud to support and partner with local conservation and community groups and believe this is one the biggest impacts, we as a small company can make. Projects supported so far include:

  • St Botolph Church’s restoration fund

  • The Friends of Naphill Common conservation group

  • 174 trees planted

  • 25k raised for charitable causes through our events

Hello from Fred

After 10 years of working in the corporate world in recruitment and media, I was always happiest being active and outdoors and sharing experiences with people. Evenings were spent designing whacky adventures with wild camping on hills, trekking up mountains and swimming in rivers all planned for the coming weekend.

I wanted to share my hobby with more people, so qualified as a Mountain Leader and set up Boondock Events in 2022. We are a small business who loves sharing our passion with the outdoors whether that be in the hills, on the trails or in the water.

It is crystal clear that the world around us in changing and a world is much more fragile than we think. Some of the best custodians of our planet are small and local organisations doing their bit to make their community and environment a better place. A key part of all our events is employing local services where possible, engaging our participants with the area they are enjoying and providing financial support to local projects.

We now offer a series of challenging hiking events, trail running races and bespoke adventures. We have taken out companies, small groups of friends, stag and hen parties and couples celebrating a special moment. Do get in touch if you want to chat about putting on your own outdoor event.
